We can repair your worn crank arm wrist pin hole in the field without removing the crank arm from the gear box. This can be a cost effective way to ensure your unit is producing oil and gas for you without much down time. It also eliminates the chance of breaking something or someone by removing the arm. We set up our boing bar to the hole next to the worn hole and crank up the generator to begin boring. After a determined size is obtained, we take the measurements back to our shop and build the sleeve and washers for the repair. The sleeve will have a straight outside dimension and a tapered inside dimension to match the taper on the wrist pin. We also create a shoulder on the sleeve to keep it in place when the wrist pin is engaged. A washer is built to ensure the nut can tighten on the arm without trouble. The wrist pin bearing and seal are then checked for wear and replacements are then determined if necessary. You are now ready to install the pin and sleeve back in the hole and begin pumping crude from deep in the ground.
